Why I'm running
Why I'm running
Because I'm pissed off. It has become harder and harder for regular people just to get by, while billionaires are allowed to do whatever they want with impunity. I worked on Wall Street and watched the banks get bailed out while working families got sold out. So I quit, joined Occupy Wall Street, and spent the next decade pushing our government to rein in financial firms and Big Tech. I was honored to work at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where I was a proud union member (CFPB Union NTEU 335) and co-sponsored a resolution demanding an end to the Biden administration's support of the genocide in Gaza. I spent every day keeping American consumers from being ripped off by financial companies -- until Donald Trump fired me for standing up to DOGE.
I've spent my entire career becoming an expert in how the system works. Now I'm running for Congress to make it work for Maryland's 6th.
